Signet Planning are working on behalf of Shepherd Offshore to progress detailed proposals for a planning application to deliver 58 dwellings on land east of The Covers, Wallsend. The proposed development will comprise a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached properties, including 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units. All the dwellings will be 2-storeys in height and the development will include 14 affordable units, representing 25% of the total development.
The sole vehicular access point will be taken from the unnamed road leading from the Coast Road and Battlehill Drive to Kings Road South to the north of the application site, with pedestrian and cycle links to be provided into the adjacent Bellway development currently under construction to the south west.
Prior to submitting the planning application to North Tyneside Council, Shepherd Offshore are undertaking public consultation with residents in order to take into consideration the views on the proposed development. In this regard, an exhibition was held at Wallsend Civic Hall on Thursday 19 April 2012 in order to provide the local community an opportunity to discuss the proposals with members of the design team.

Consultation Board
Signet Planning has been working with Derby College in relation to the potential redevelopment of the remaining land which formerly comprised the Prince Charles Avenue campus of Derby College in Mackworth, Derby. This will involve the retention of the existing sports facilities along with new community uses and housing.
A public exhibition was held on Tuesday 28th February in at the Diocesan Centre, Mornington Crescent, Mackworth from 2pm until 8pm. The exhibition boards can be viewed and downloaded below.
